President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has commended the economic reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying the measures are gradually positioning Nigeria on a sustainable path to economic growth.

Dangote said the ongoing fiscal, monetary and regulatory reforms have contributed to greater macroeconomic stability, improved industrial productivity and strengthened investor confidence in the country.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the business mogul made the remarks in a statement issued on Wednesday, noting that the emerging economic gains highlighted the importance of maintaining consistent and market-oriented policies.

Dangote said the reforms had begun producing tangible results, including increased economic activity, stronger confidence among investors and a more resilient business environment.

He praised the federal government for what he described as the courage and determination to implement difficult but necessary measures, adding that the benefits of the policies were becoming increasingly visible through improved economic indicators and renewed investor interest.

The Dangote Group president said the new policy environment had also created better operating conditions for businesses, particularly large-scale manufacturing and industrial companies that play important roles in economic diversification, employment generation, foreign exchange earnings and national competitiveness.

He noted that the favourable policies had supported the continued expansion and efficient operation of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

According to him, government measures aimed at increasing domestic refining capacity, reducing dependence on imported petroleum products, strengthening energy security and promoting local value addition had contributed to the refinery’s development and Nigeria’s wider economic objectives.

Dangote said the progress recorded by the refinery and petrochemical complex was closely connected to policies that encourage investment, promote domestic industrialisation and support greater economic self-sufficiency.

He added that the reforms were giving Nigerian businesses greater certainty to plan, invest and compete more effectively in international markets.

The billionaire businessman further stated that the expanding operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery had contributed to the country’s economic development through foreign exchange generation, job creation, stronger local supply chains and the positioning of Nigeria as an emerging energy and manufacturing hub.

Dangote maintained that his group’s investments were designed to support Nigeria’s long-term economic transformation, stressing that the combination of private-sector investment and effective government policies could unlock significant opportunities for national development.

He expressed optimism that continued reforms, policy consistency and stronger cooperation between government and the private sector would attract more foreign direct investment and accelerate economic growth.

Dangote also predicted a brighter economic future for Nigeria, saying sustained investment-led growth and a stable policy environment could strengthen the country’s position as one of Africa’s leading investment destinations and help it move towards becoming a major global industrial and economic power.
