One of the alleged posts reportedly stated, “We want to inform the public that Dangote Cement is currently available at a promotional factory price of N2,410 per bag, with a transportation and offloading cost of N300 per bag to any location in Nigeria.”

Chiejina has further conveyed that Dangote Cement’s management has formally notified law enforcement agencies to identify and take action against those responsible for the dissemination of this fake news, which is considered deceitful and misleading.

He urged Dangote Cement customers and other stakeholders to continue supporting the high-quality cement brand while remaining cautious of scammers seeking to defraud them.

It’s worth noting that Dangote Cement Plc has been under pressure to reduce its prices following a recent announcement by the BUA Group. BUA Cement’s manufacturers revealed their plans to decrease product prices and contribute to reducing cement costs in Nigeria after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
