David Is My Biggest Blessing — Cubana Chief Priest Reveals How He Met Davido

Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has opened up about his first encounter with Afrobeats superstar Davido, recalling how the meeting eventually developed into a lasting relationship between them.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Cubana Chief Priest shared the story during an interview with Beats FM, revealing that he first met Davido at the InterContinental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, after his wife returned from the United States with their son, Donald.

The socialite explained that he was excited when Davido arrived at the hotel and took the opportunity to introduce his wife and son to the singer. The meeting reportedly involved photographs and a conversation that later resulted in Davido being booked to perform at his club.

Cubana Chief Priest said Davido subsequently visited the club for the engagement, describing the event as a memorable experience that helped establish a connection between them.

Reflecting on how long their relationship has lasted, the socialite expressed gratitude for the bond they have developed over the years.

“It’s over a decade now and I’m grateful to God because of that. David is my biggest blessing,” he stated.

Cubana Chief Priest has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s entertainment and social scene and has frequently been associated with several leading personalities in the music industry.

The socialite was also arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in April 2024 over allegations relating to the abuse of the naira. He was subsequently arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos on a three-count charge concerning the alleged tampering with and spraying of N500 notes at social events.
