The ‘OBO’ singer stated his ambition to collaborate with artists worldwide during a recent interview with Billboard, revealing that he is currently working on two albums tailored for African and American audiences, respectively.

He remarked, “I aim to release this album by the grace of God. Hopefully, it will reach No. 1. My desire is to share exceptional ideas and music with fellow artists, inspire them, and engage in songwriting and production for others. I have realized the African dream; now I am striving for the American dream.”

Regarding his rapport with American musicians, Davido explained, “I feel a strong connection with artists from Atlanta, particularly after residing there for about four or five years. I currently own a home in Atlanta, so my understanding of American culture predominantly stems from the South. Hence, I find it easier to relate to Atlanta artists, having interacted with figures like Young Thug and Gunna, whom I’ve known even before our careers took off.”

Although Davido was born in Atlanta, USA, he relocated to Nigeria during his early childhood.
