Political commentator and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has strongly criticized the Labour Presidential Candidate, Peter Gregory Obi, for his position on the corruption case involving the suspended Betta Edu’s humanitarian ministry. The corruption allegations have indirectly implicated another minister, Tunji-Ojo, serving under the Tinubu administration, following extensive investigations by the anti-graft agency. In response to Peter Obi’s comments on the trending issue, where he urged President Tinubu not to spare either of the two ministers if confirmed to have corruption cases in the humanitarian ministry, Deji Adeyanju stated;

“Coming from a man that took over $9m of Anambra money and invested it in her family business, then also put all of Anambra money in a bank he has shares in and called it savings to be collecting commission after office. Peter Obi has no locus standi to criticize Betta or Bunmi Ojo.”
