Representing the Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency in Benue, Ugbo stressed the importance of creating favorable environmental conditions to allow citizens to fully benefit from the country’s natural and social investments.
Ugbo highlighted the 10th National Assembly’s dedication to addressing issues related to climate change, environmental pollution, flooding, erosion control (particularly in the South-Eastern region), deforestation, and environmental degradation. He expressed the assembly’s commitment to giving the environmental sector the attention it rightfully deserves.
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, represented by Mr. Kunda Yakubu, emphasized that various factors, whether natural, artificial, social, biological, or psychological, affect the environment.
He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts and the prioritization of safety to tackle Nigeria’s environmental challenges. Additionally, he encouraged unity among Nigerians, focusing on shared interests and fostering happiness through collective action.
