Speaking at the 36th induction ceremony of newly registered town planners in Abuja, Senator Barau emphasized the importance of embracing ICT to expand the horizons of the town planning field. He pointed out that ICT is a permanent fixture in various industries and institutions across the country, and its innovations can add value to the profession.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Idris Abiola Ajimobi, Senator Barau congratulated the newly inducted members of TOPREC and urged them to uphold the TOPREC Act, code of conduct, and practice regulations in their duties as town planners.
In his welcome address, Isyaku Muhtar Kura, the President of TOPREC, also charged the new inductees to apply the organization’s guidelines and regulations in carrying out their responsibilities as town planners.
