He assured that the federal government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is dedicated to establishing a conducive environment for investments.

Kalu delivered this message during his participation as a guest speaker at a conference titled “Opportunities and Insights” held in Abuja by Evolve Camp, a youth mentorship and national development organization.

Addressing the topic “Unlocking National Prosperity: Assessing the Role of Government Policies in the Nation’s Prosperity,” the Deputy Speaker commended Nigeria’s advancements in ease of doing business. He also commended Tinubu’s commitment to fostering a thriving private sector within the economy.

Kalu encouraged the youth to support government policies and actively contribute to the legislative functions of the national assembly.

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in policymaking and stated that the input from the conference would be considered.

Kalu highlighted the need for a favorable investment climate and referred to Nigeria’s ranking of 131st worldwide in ease of doing business in 2020, with room for improvement.

He pointed out that the approval of the first-ever Nigeria Investment Policy in May 2023 demonstrates the government’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for investors.

The Deputy Speaker reassured potential investors that the government is focused on building credibility and ensuring that investors can rely on stable projections without unexpected disruptions.

He emphasized that Nigeria is committed to responsible investor conduct in alignment with global standards, including those related to the environment.

Kalu acknowledged the challenges posed by inadequate infrastructure and bureaucratic bottlenecks and assured that they are being addressed. He also stressed the government’s dedication to combating corruption to promote transparency and accountability.
