According to reports obtained by Naija News, the abduction occurred when Ogbu, along with 15 other passengers, was traveling in an 18-seater commercial vehicle. Rabiu Mohammed Shuaibu, the public relations officer for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), confirmed the incident, stating that both the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) have been informed. The abduction has prompted a call for prayers for the safe release of the officer from the Controller of Corrections at the Niger State Command.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Sunday evening, police operatives successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt in Katsina State, rescuing 14 people. The incident occurred in Dan’arau village along the Magama-Jibia Road in Jibia Local Government Area.
