Details Emerge As President Tinubu Meet With Service Chiefs, NSA Nuhu Ribadu

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu held his inaugural meeting with the new service chiefs, the National Security Adviser (NSA), and the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Following the meeting, the NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, assured President Tinubu and the Nigerian people that the security agencies would achieve their objective of securing the country and restoring peace and stability. Speaking to state house correspondents, Mallam Ribadu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation and pledged loyalty to President Tinubu and Nigeria.

Mallam Ribadu emphasized that President Tinubu had made the right choice in selecting the new security heads and conveyed the President’s expectations for the country’s security improvement. He assured that the team would work tirelessly to achieve this objective and bring normalcy back to people’s lives. President Tinubu assured them of his full support and instructed them to work together effectively to accomplish their tasks.

When asked about the starting point for the new security leaders, Mallam Ribadu pointed out that the country was already witnessing positive changes in crime rates and criminal activities. He asserted that the quality of the appointed officials was exceptional and promised that they would not fail in their duty but would indeed deliver results.

Aside from the NSA, the meeting was attended by the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and the Acting IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.
