Former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye, has accused three key political figures within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of causing irreparable damage to the party. Melaye also alluded to the commercialization and privatization of the PDP, suggesting that these actions have led to the party’s decline. He stated, “It’s the end of the road for PDP as Damagum, Bature, and Anyanwu have irredeemably destroyed the party. We will address the commercialization and privatization of PDP. The PDP is now a thing of the past.”

*Naija News* reports that there are indications the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) may take disciplinary action against Damagum and Anyanwu over an alleged letter sent to the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, which has been perceived as an act of disloyalty to the party. Some party leaders, including members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), have pushed for sanctions against them.

However, Damagum has refused to be intimidated, asserting that those calling for his resignation are only increasing his prominence. Speaking at the inauguration of the National Reconciliation and Disciplinary Committees, the acting chairman criticized those spreading misinformation about the NWC’s operations.
