DJ OP Dot Celebrates Big Wins As Hit Songs And Awards Boost His Career

Nigerian disc jockey, recording artiste and music producer Opeyemi Oladipupo Soidiq, popularly known as DJ OP Dot, is continuing to strengthen his presence in the Nigerian entertainment industry through successful music releases, collaborations and industry recognition.

A native of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, DJ OP Dot was born on October 11, 1993, and began his professional music journey in 2009 after studying Electrical Installation. Over the years, he has expanded his career beyond disc jockeying to include music production, promotion and recording.

The entertainer has identified renowned American record producer DJ Khaled, as well as Nigerian DJs Spinall and DJ Neptune, as some of the personalities who have influenced his career and creative direction.

In 2021, DJ OP Dot founded DJ OP Dot Music Ent. Ltd., where he serves as Chief Executive Officer, creating a platform to manage his entertainment activities and music projects.

His career gained significant attention following the release of “Gbemidebe,” a collaboration with Qdot, on March 31, 2022. The song, produced by 2tupondeebeatz under DME Records & Entertainment, received airplay on stations including Faaji FM, Eko FM and Raypower FM and reportedly accumulated more than 10 million streams across digital platforms.

The success of the track was followed by industry recognition, with DJ OP Dot winning the DJ of the Year award at the 2022 Ijebu Vogue Awards. He returned to the same event the following year and picked up the Best DJ Mix with Promotions award.

In 2025, he released “Believe,” featuring Rybeena, further extending his growing catalogue while earning another major honour at the De Thrills Music Awards in Port Harcourt, where he was named DJ of the Year.

DJ OP Dot maintained the momentum in 2026 with the release of “Benjamin,” which has reportedly surpassed 600,000 streams across digital streaming platforms. The song also gained traction on TikTok, with more than 20,000 users reportedly creating content around the track.

His growing profile received another boost later in the year when he was recognised as DJ of the Year at the Golden Star Awards.

According to industry observers, DJ OP Dot’s progression from disc jockeying into music production, recording and promotion, alongside his growing list of accolades and successful releases, reflects his expanding influence within Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
