Joshua’s devastating knockout blow left the former UFC champion sprawled on the canvas, requiring medical attention in the ring before managing to rise to his feet.
This defeat extends Drake’s streak of losses in combat sports. Earlier in January, he suffered a loss of over half-a-million pounds when backing Sean Strickland in a UFC middleweight title defense against Dricus Du Plessis.
The 37-year-old also experienced a £430,000 loss when Israel Adesanya faced an unexpected defeat against Strickland in the octagon. Previously, Drake had wagered £700,000 on Logan Paul to emerge victorious against Dillon Danis in a boxing match.
