Drama As Warri Pikin Breaks Silence After Viral Moment With Timaya On Stage
Nigerian comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has apologised to her husband, Ikechukwu, and her fans following a viral video showing her joining singer Timaya on stage during a performance.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the comedian addressed the controversy after the footage generated widespread reactions online, explaining that the incident happened spontaneously while she was backstage enjoying Timaya’s performance.
Real Warri Pikin said Timaya had called for a woman to join him on stage during his performance, prompting her to quickly make her way to the stage. She explained that she did not know the singer intended to carry the woman who came out during his performance of his hit song, “Ukwu.”
The comedian said she was initially surprised when Timaya indicated that she should jump towards him and claimed she was reluctant to participate. According to her, she even tried to decline the invitation before eventually joining the performance after the singer encouraged her not to disrupt his show.
Taking responsibility for her actions, Real Warri Pikin appealed to Nigerians to forgive her and said she had not anticipated how the moment would unfold.
She also revealed that her husband was upset with her over the incident. The comedian added that she is currently in the United States, making it difficult to immediately resolve the situation with Ikechukwu in person.
Real Warri Pikin repeatedly emphasised that she did not deliberately set out to create controversy, describing the incident as an impulsive reaction to the atmosphere of the performance. She urged her fans not to judge her harshly and acknowledged that she was responsible for putting herself in the situation.
The viral footage has continued to attract reactions online, with social media users sharing different opinions about the comedian’s interaction with Timaya during the performance.
