Taking to her Instagram story, Phyna revealed that the hotel management and police had asked her to remain in custody pending the resolution of the matter.
According to her, the altercation began when some individuals she knew gained access to the hotel premises and attacked her, leading to chaos and destruction within the facility.
Phyna claimed that the attackers were allowed into the hotel through the main gate and reception area, before proceeding to her room on the second floor, where the situation escalated.
She said she requested CCTV footage to verify the sequence of events but alleged that both the hotel and police had ignored her demand.
Phyna maintained that she was being detained because she refused to pay for the alleged ₦3.5 million damages, insisting that she should not be held responsible for the incident.
Expressing disappointment over the hotel’s handling of the matter, she accused the management of negligence and failure to ensure her safety.
She wrote:
“Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts to come in and fight me, and now they’re about to lock me up till Monday because I refused to pay ₦3.5 million for damages. Please, I’m in prison right now.
Because I’m Phyna, I’m being forced by a hotel that couldn’t secure me. They allowed touts through their main gate, through reception, up to the second floor to break down my door—and even gave them my room number.
I requested the CCTV footage to prove what really happened, but the hotel and police have refused to show it. Now, Dalchifit Hotel is trying to detain me till Monday.”
As of the time of this report, Dalchifit Hotel management and Gwarinpa Police Division have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
