Easing Transportation Struggles: Nigeria Police Unveils Keke Loan Plan For Personnel

The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly introduced a tricycle (Keke Napep) loan scheme aimed at enhancing the welfare of its personnel.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The initiative is said to be part of the welfare program spearheaded by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. According to Sahara Reporters, a wireless message dated March 12, 2025, from the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of the Police Cooperative Society in Lagos, informed all departments, commands, and other units under the Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-Purpose Society Ltd about the scheme.

The report states that Bulk Stalker Engineering Limited has been designated as the supplier of the tricycles. Only interested police officers will have access to the loan, which will be provided at a cost of ₦5,500,000 per unit.

According to the details, the company will supply various types of tricycles, including tricycle trucks, trike pick-ups, TTI single cabins, tricycle taxis, TP7 trike taxis, and tricycle ambulances. Repayment for the loan will involve a monthly deduction of ₦90,000 from the recipient’s salary via the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS), with a repayment period of 60 months.

The wireless message further stated that application forms would be made available at all police cooperative shops for interested personnel.

As of the time of this report, Nigeria Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi has yet to confirm the development.
