East-West Road Completion Date Announced By Nigerian Government After 18 Years Of Construction

Minister of Niger Delta, Abubakar Momoh, revealed this in an interview with Channels Television on Tuesday. He stated that the section from Eleme Petrochemical to Ahoada and Bayelsa will be finished in 12 months.

Momoh assured, “In the coming year, you will see significant progress, particularly in the Eleme Petrochemical area and the stretch from Ahoada to Bayelsa. The road will be fully operational.”

The East-West Road project, intended to connect the Niger Delta region, started in 2006. Despite the long duration, progress has been slow.
