The Federal Government has officially declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, 2025, as public holidays in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday, marking the Christian commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the country.

Speaking on behalf of the Federal Government, Tunji-Ojo highlighted the importance of the Easter celebration, urging Nigerians to reflect on and emulate the values of sacrifice, love, and selflessness exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Through the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, the Minister also called on citizens to seize the opportunity to pray for national peace, unity, and progress.

He reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which is geared towards driving sustainable development and national transformation.

The statement further encouraged Nigerians to show compassion and goodwill to one another through generous and kind gestures.

Tunji-Ojo concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful Easter and sending heartfelt holiday wishes to all Nigerians.
