The Commissioner of Police for the state, Funsho Adegboye, made this revelation over the weekend while presenting Ebeagbor and 17 other suspects apprehended for various offenses in the state.
According to Adegboye, Ebeagbor solicited N240,000 from the woman online, claiming it was necessary to address her spiritual issue of recurring nightmares. The victim complied by transferring the money to his bank account. However, after receiving the funds, the suspect went a step further, demanding her nude video for purported spiritual cleansing, assuring her that he would delete it after use.
Subsequently, the Commissioner of Police explained that, following the victim’s compliance with the suspect’s instructions, Ebeagbor resorted to blackmail. He demanded an additional N400,000 under the threat of publicly sharing the nude video on the internet if she refused to comply.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect possessed not only the complainant’s nude video but also similar compromising videos of other women on his phone.
In an interview with journalists, Ebeagbor admitted to presenting himself to the woman as a spiritualist with the promise of providing assistance.
