The Edo State Government has indefinitely postponed the resumption of all schools in the state due to the recent surge in fuel prices.

The announcement was made in a memo issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Ojo Akin-Longe, in Benin City, the state capital, on Saturday, September 7.

According to Akin-Longe, schools were initially scheduled to resume on September 9, but the reopening has now been delayed until further notice.
