As Muslims across Nigeria and around the globe mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah, calling for national unity and renewed hope amid ongoing reforms.
In his Eid-el-Fitr goodwill message, Minister Momoh described the Ramadan season as a time of “deep spiritual reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed devotion to the Almighty.” He noted that the core virtues of patience, sacrifice, and charity exemplified during Ramadan are essential values Nigerians must continue to uphold as individuals and as a nation.
Acknowledging the current economic realities facing many Nigerians, the Minister emphasized that the challenges are not insurmountable. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR—an ambitious plan rooted in bold reforms, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.
“These are trying times, no doubt—but they are not insurmountable,” Momoh said. “The steps being taken today are laying the solid foundation for a more prosperous and equitable Nigeria.”
He reiterated his commitment as Minister of Regional Development to advancing policies that bridge development gaps, empower communities, and stimulate growth across all regions of the country.
“As we celebrate Eid, let us remember that with unity of purpose, faith in our shared future, and trust in purposeful leadership, Nigeria will emerge stronger and better,” he said.
The Minister concluded with a message of peace and goodwill:
“Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones. May your sacrifices be rewarded, and may peace, joy, and prosperity fill your homes.”
