In a statement issued on Friday, Ejiofor claimed that Omokri primarily profits from impression revenue generated through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) by making controversial and baseless statements.

“Reno Omokri deliberately creates inflammatory and disparaging posts targeting Igbos and Peter Obi, aiming to provoke and generate traffic for his posts,” Ejiofor said.

He explained that engagement from the Igbo community only serves to boost Omokri’s online traffic and business. “A man who profits from such engagement will not change his tactics unless you intervene,” Ejiofor added.

Ejiofor outlined Omokri’s strategy as one that manipulates emotions to increase content reach and revenue. He advised that the best way to counter Omokri’s approach is to ignore his provocations, refrain from engaging with his content, and spread awareness about his tactics.

“By not engaging with him, you deny him the satisfaction of your attention and reduce his revenue. It is crucial to understand that his actions are driven by business motives, not patriotism,” Ejiofor concluded.
