In his reply, Bashir challenged the user to bring his wife or girlfriend to verify his sexuality and playfully questioned if he resembled “Pitobi’s son,” referring to a public figure.

He wrote, “Do you have a wife or girlfriend? Bring her so she can confirm whether I am gay. Do I look like Pitobi’s son?”

**Court Declines to Hear El-Rufai’s Fundamental Rights Case**

In a separate development, the Federal High Court in Kaduna, presided over by Justice R.M. Aikawa, has decided not to hear the lawsuit filed by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. El-Rufai sought to challenge the report of the Adhoc Committee of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, among other reliefs.

Justice Aikawa issued two rulings prior to the final judgment, noting that El-Rufai failed to meet the criteria necessary to justify overturning the court’s authority. The request for the judge to recuse himself was also denied due to insufficient grounds.

Instead of dismissing or striking out the case, the court decided to transfer it to the High Court of Kaduna State for further adjudication, in line with Section 22(2) of the Federal High Court Act.

Legal representatives for the respondents included Femi Falana, SAN, and Sani Katu, SAN, for the 1st respondent, while Sule Shuaibu, SAN, Attorney General of Kaduna State, and Jummai Danazumi, Esq., represented the 2nd respondent.

The ruling has been praised by some legal experts as a reinforcement of judicial independence and adherence to the rule of law, emphasizing the court’s commitment to maintaining integrity despite external pressures.
