In his remarks, the minister stressed that both Nigeria and the global community are grappling with two primary issues—food security and energy security. “All over the world today, we are faced with two basic issues, and these are food and energy security,” Adelabu stated.
He further pointed out that Nigeria remains highly competitive when it comes to electricity pricing. “It is worth noting that the price of electricity is still the cheapest in Nigeria compared to other African nations,” he said, drawing attention to how affordable power remains despite various economic pressures.
Adelabu also called for patience from Nigerians, reassuring the public that the government is fully committed to their well-being. “If Nigerians are patient, they will realize that the government means well for them,” he concluded.
