Emotional Moment As Otti Promises Full Care For Cancer-Stricken Actor McDon

The development was announced by J Martins, the Governor’s Special Assistant on Entertainment and Tourism, who disclosed that the actor has been battling the illness for several years.
According to him, Governor Otti approved the coverage of McDon’s treatment costs as part of efforts to support the ailing film star.
In a post shared on social media, he wrote: “I am pleased to announce that H.E. @alexottiofr has taken over the medical expenses of one of Abia’s legendary actors, Mr Sunny Macdon, who has been battling prostate cancer for some years now. The office of the SSA on Entertainment & Tourism appreciates his kind gesture.”
The intervention comes amid growing concerns about the health and welfare of veteran actors in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, many of whom have in recent years called for increased support during medical and financial difficulties.
Sonny McDon is regarded as one of Nollywood’s seasoned practitioners, with a career spanning over three decades. He has worked as an actor, producer, director, and motion picture programmer, contributing significantly to the growth of the Nigerian film industry.
Over the years, he has featured in several productions, including Amanyanabo: The Eagle, Force Empire, and Domitilla: The Reboot.
