This appeal was made during an interaction with journalists at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

Mbah clarified that the State Government is collaborating with the Federal Government to ensure the successful completion of both the cargo terminal and the international wing at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu.

He emphasized that Enugu provides a secure environment for investors to channel their investments.

The governor, expressing admiration for Tinubu’s economic policies, highlighted their positive impact on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Enugu.

He specifically commended the harmonized foreign exchange rates policy, recognizing its beneficial influence on Enugu’s FDI initiatives.

However, Governor Mbah acknowledged the challenges posed by certain economic initiatives of the Federal Government, such as the elimination of fuel subsidies, which he described as impactful but difficult for individuals in the short term.

He viewed these policies as bold measures addressing the nation’s economic challenges, expressing confidence in their long-term benefits for citizens.

“I commend the president because a lot of things that he is doing at the national level are also rubbing off well on us at the state level.

Policies like the unification of the foreign exchange rate mean that we are going to have a lot of FDI coming in, and we are also going to benefit from that.”
