Yusuf is accused of inflicting serious injuries on his children, aged 11 and 13. According to NAN’s City and Crime, the incident was reported to the police by the head teacher of a primary school attended by one of the victims.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that at around 5 p.m. on Friday, October 18, the head teacher reported that she had discovered wounds on the body of an 11-year-old pupil earlier that day.

Upon questioning, the girl revealed to her teacher that her father frequently beat her. She also mentioned that her 13-year-old brother had been subjected to similar abuse.

“The victims have been rescued and received medical treatment, and they have been placed in the care of their sister for safety,” Hundeyin stated.

The suspect had fled before the police arrived, and efforts are underway to locate him.
