Father Of Three Allegedly Beats And Strangles Wife To Death In Rivers

A person named Michael Chidozie has been apprehended by the Rivers State Police Command for the alleged assault and strangulation of his wife in their residence near Port Harcourt’s Mile 4 area.

The victim, identified as Mrs. Ufuoma Eriera Chidozie, a mother of three from Delta State, reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack in the early hours of Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Tragically, she left behind three sons aged 10, 7, and 5.

According to an anonymous source in the vicinity, the accused husband contacted his late wife’s brother, urgently summoning him to their home. However, the husband had fled before the arrival of the brother-in-law.

Upon entering the house, the brother discovered the lifeless body of his sister. The husband was nowhere to be found, prompting a search for him, with the matter subsequently reported to the police.

The source disclosed that the couple had been experiencing ongoing issues.

The suspect, Michael Chidozie, was apprehended on Wednesday morning, March 6, by the Agip Police Division in Mile 4, Port Harcourt.
