The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive regional development, declaring open a high-level roundtable jointly convened by the South East Development Commission (SEDC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Abuja.

Held at the Transcorp Hilton, the roundtable themed “Rebuilding Legacy: Co-Creating a New Era of Growth in the South East” brought together development partners, government stakeholders, and policy influencers to chart a new course for transformation in the region.

Welcoming participants, Momoh commended the organisers, especially the SEDC, which he noted is led by the youngest among the heads of the regional development commissions, for demonstrating clarity of purpose and sustained dedication. He stated that the event was not merely a talkshop, but a launchpad for action, one aimed at galvanizing support around pressing regional issues.

“The theme of today’s event is bold and timely.
