The organization noted that there has been a troubling increase in reports of women being abducted for ransom over the past few months, instilling fear and insecurity among Kogi residents.

Okolo stated, “These heinous acts not only violate the rights and dignity of women but also signal a worsening security situation in the state. FIDA Nigeria, Kogi State Branch, strongly condemns these barbaric acts and urges the state government and security agencies to enhance their efforts in protecting citizens, especially women.”
