The Renewed Hope Neighbour to Neighbour has celebrated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 66th birthday, commending what it described as her commitment to women empowerment, youth development and the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.

In a birthday message signed by its National Coordinator, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, the organisation congratulated the First Lady and joined Nigerians and well-wishers in celebrating the milestone.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the group, which described Senator Tinubu as its Grand Patroness, praised her public service record and characterised her leadership as being marked by compassion, courage and efforts aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

The organisation particularly highlighted her interventions targeting women and young people, saying such initiatives had created opportunities and encouraged beneficiaries to pursue their aspirations.

It also said Senator Tinubu’s support had strengthened the vision of the Renewed Hope Neighbour to Neighbour initiative, which promotes the idea that national development should begin from communities, with neighbours supporting one another and vulnerable members of society receiving assistance.

The group further commended the First Lady for her advocacy in areas including education, healthcare, economic inclusion and the welfare of the girl-child. It said her support for women and young Nigerians aligned with its own objective of equipping people with the skills and opportunities needed to build productive lives.

“Her support continues to remind us that leadership is measured not by titles, but by lives transformed,” the organisation stated.

The birthday celebration also attracted commendation from Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, who described Senator Tinubu as an advocate for women’s development and inclusive governance. He praised her years of public service and her contributions to women’s economic empowerment and increased participation of women in public affairs.

Okpebholo also highlighted her legislative experience and advocacy on issues affecting women, children and vulnerable groups. He noted that her years in the Senate provided opportunities for her to contribute to discussions and legislative initiatives involving social policy, education, women’s economic participation and financial inclusion.

The governor further acknowledged the First Lady’s public engagements in women’s welfare, youth development and community support, while describing her as an encouragement to younger Nigerians interested in leadership and public service.

Other public figures and organisations have also marked Senator Tinubu’s 66th birthday with messages highlighting her humanitarian activities. Recent reports have pointed to the Renewed Hope Initiative’s programmes in areas such as education, healthcare, economic empowerment, agriculture and support for vulnerable Nigerians.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also celebrated his wife on her birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante” and praising her humanitarian efforts through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative.
