The late Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, former governor of Yobe State, has been laid to rest in Saudi Arabia. Yusuf Ali, Senior Special Assistant for Communications and Strategy to Governor Mai Mala Buni, reported that the funeral ceremony occurred at the Grand Mosque, Masjid Al Haram, on February 5, following the dawn prayers. The funeral prayers were conducted twice after the Fajr prayers.

Governor Mai Mala Buni, expressing profound sorrow at the loss, assured that he has taken measures to ensure that the late senator receives an honorary state burial to commemorate his service and contributions.
