One of the accidents occurred at Ukpo junction, involving a collision between a commercial Toyota Delica bus and a private Toyota Diana. Reports indicate that the crash, attributed to wrongful overtaking, claimed one life and injured five others.

In another tragic incident at Obenetiti Awkuzu, two female passengers lost their lives, and five individuals sustained injuries following a collision between a Mack tanker and a commercial Toyota Diana. Eyewitnesses attributed the accident to brake failure on the part of the tanker.

Additionally, at the Slaughter area along the Nteje-Awka-Onitsha Expressway, a collision involving a commercial Mack tanker and a private Toyota Camry resulted in one fatality and one injury. Speeding and wrongful overtaking were cited as likely causes.

Authorities, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), responded swiftly to manage the accidents, transport the injured to medical facilities, and clear the affected roads.
