A Nigerian woman identified as @Sandraify on X has shared the story of how a Facebook connection that began in 2014 eventually blossomed into marriage.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman revealed that her husband initially caught her attention by repeatedly sending her direct messages on Facebook. She eventually responded, leading to conversations that continued for almost a year.

During their exchanges, he asked about her name, Local Government Area and state of origin before eventually requesting her phone number. However, after obtaining her contact, he reportedly did not reach out until about four months later.

The woman said their first phone conversation took place in 2015, during which he mentioned plans to visit her school, Imo State University. That visit eventually provided an opportunity for the pair to meet in person for the first time.

Their relationship continued to develop over the years, and in 2019, she travelled to Lagos to visit him. She recalled that during the visit, he proposed to her shortly after tasting her oha soup while she was taking a bath.

Following the proposal, the couple proceeded with their introduction and traditional wedding before eventually having their white wedding ceremony.

The woman said their relationship has since grown into a lasting marriage, with the couple now approaching eight years together as husband and wife.

Her story highlights how an unexpected social media connection that began with persistent Facebook messages eventually developed into a long-term relationship and marriage.
