Marking a historic milestone as the first-ever buses supplied by any Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), these vehicles aim to alleviate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on staff members.

This initiative is part of palliative measures undertaken to ease the challenges arising from the removal of the fuel subsidy.

Additionally, the CNA, Magaji Tambawal, has ensured the implementation of the new N35,000 wage award for National Assembly staff, further mitigating the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.

During the official handover of the buses to the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin emphasized that this gesture reflects the unwavering commitment of the 10th National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to address the welfare concerns of the staff.

Jibrin noted that Senate President Akpabio swiftly approved the request for welfare buses, underscoring his dedication to the well-being of parliamentary staff members.
