During a courtesy visit from Denmark’s Minister of Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy, Dan Jorgensen, Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to defending democracy and human rights.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima portrayed Nigeria as a beacon of hope and stability in the midst of regional turbulence.
Shettima emphasized, “Nigeria is indeed the beacon of hope and stability in a turbulent region,” underscoring the nation’s crucial role in maintaining political order.
The Vice President’s comments were made in the context of recent coup developments in neighboring Niger.
He commended Nigeria’s efforts in advocating for the restoration of civilian rule and exerting pressure on coup leaders to reinstate the civilian government.
Additionally, Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s vast potential in digital technology, the outsourcing industry, and the clean energy sector.
