Instead of hosting the usual festivities, K1 De Ultimate urged his family and friends to redirect their efforts towards supporting the less privileged in society.

In a statement released on Thursday, February 29, 2024, K1 De Ultimate cited the current economic hardships in Nigeria as the primary reason for his decision.

The statement reads, “As I approach my 67th birthday on March 3, 2024, I have decided to forgo the usual celebrations that my friends, associates, and fans worldwide have joyously joined me and my family in commemorating.

“Given the prevailing economic circumstances in our country, Nigeria, I feel it would be inappropriate for me to engage in lavish celebrations at this time.

“Many of our fellow citizens are struggling to meet their basic needs, and as someone who benefits from the support and patronage of these same individuals, I empathize with their plight and see no justification for extravagant celebrations.

“While I acknowledge that the challenges our nation faces are temporary, and efforts are being made by the government to address them, I believe it is essential for us to prioritize empathy and support for those in need during these trying times.
