The Norwegian forward netted 27 goals in 35 Premier League appearances, securing the award for the third time in four seasons since joining Manchester City.

Haaland finished five goals ahead of Brentford striker Igor Thiago, who scored 22 goals in an impressive campaign that also earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.

With this latest achievement, Haaland joins Premier League legends Alan Shearer and Harry Kane as three-time Golden Boot winners. He now sits just behind Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry, who have each won the award four times.

The 25-year-old previously claimed the award in his first two seasons at Manchester City before reclaiming it again in the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite his remarkable scoring form, Manchester City failed to win the Premier League title, which ultimately went to Arsenal after a strong finish to the season.

City ended the campaign with a 2–1 defeat to Aston Villa in their final match, a game that also marked the conclusion of Pep Guardiola’s long tenure as manager.

Haaland began the season in explosive form, scoring 19 goals in his first 17 matches and keeping City firmly in the title race.

However, a mid-season dip proved costly, as he managed just one goal in seven games during a difficult spell for the club.

Although he later returned to form—scoring decisive goals against Liverpool and Arsenal—City’s dropped points against Everton and Bournemouth allowed Arsenal to pull clear and secure the championship.

Top 10 EPL Goalscorers for the 2025/26 Season:

  • Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 27 goals
  • Igor Thiago (Brentford) – 22 goals
  • Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City) – 16 goals
  • João Pedro (Chelsea) – 15 goals
  • Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) – 14 goals
  • Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) – 14 goals
  • Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal) – 14 goals
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds United) – 14 goals
  • Danny Welbeck (Brighton & Hove Albion) – 13 goals
  • Junior Kroupi (AFC Bournemouth) – 13 goals

Haaland’s latest Golden Boot further cements his status as one of the Premier League’s most consistent and dominant forwards, even in a season where Manchester City fell short of the league title.
