Full State-By-State Breakdown As Tinubu Clinches APC 2027 Presidential Ticket
President Bola Tinubu has officially emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election after recording a landslide victory in the party’s primary election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, securing 10,999,967 votes across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The results were announced on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja by the Chairman of the APC Presidential Primaries Committee, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.
According to figures released at the collation centre, the primary recorded:
- 12,643,306 registered voters
- 11,069,756 accredited voters
- 11,015,665 total votes cast
Tinubu’s total votes in the APC primary exceeded the 8,794,726 votes he secured to win Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
His challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled 16,503 votes nationwide.
State-by-state results showed Tinubu dominating across the country, with some of his highest totals recorded in Lagos, Adamawa, and Kaduna states.
The breakdown includes:
- Lagos – 814,988
- Adamawa – 644,149
- Kaduna – 618,914
- Imo – 582,960
- Kano – 500,852
- Katsina – 467,003
- Gombe – 450,517
- Borno – 414,988
- Delta – 407,646
- Akwa Ibom – 389,197
- Enugu – 383,382
- Benue – 374,787
- Zamfara – 321,579
- Ogun – 322,485
- Kwara – 310,990
- Sokoto – 301,000
Other states also returned substantial votes in favour of the President, according to reports from state collation officers.
Tinubu’s strongest performance came from Lagos State, where he secured over 814,000 votes, followed by Adamawa and Kaduna.
Meanwhile, Osifo’s best performances came from Niger State with 5,248 votes, Kano with 2,675 votes, Bauchi with 2,650 votes, and Abia with 1,007 votes.
Reports further indicated that Osifo failed to secure any votes in 21 states and the FCT, while recording just one vote in Edo State.
