Funeral Service For AFRIMA Boss’s Wife Scheduled For TodayThe remains of Mrs. Modupe Dada will be laid to rest today, Thursday, October 24, 2024, following a farewell service at Grace Assembly, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos State. The funeral is expected to draw many dignitaries, who have expressed their condolences to the Dada family in light of Modupe’s passing.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed his sorrow, noting that Modupe was a vital support for her husband’s achievements in Africa’s creative industry. He highlighted her strength, which resonated even from behind the scenes, and encouraged Mike to find comfort in her legacy of kindness and support. “I stand in solidarity with you, sharing your grief,” he said, wishing the family strength during this difficult time.

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah also conveyed his condolences, praising Modupe for her virtuous life and her role in providing stability and encouragement to her husband while nurturing a loving home. Mbah stated, “Her death has left a significant void not only in your family but also among those who had the privilege of knowing her.”

Former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode visited the Dada family, recalling his long acquaintance with Modupe and commending her quiet yet impactful presence. He emphasized her exceptional partnership with Mike, particularly in promoting African music and culture through AFRIMA.

Numerous dignitaries have visited the Dada home to pay their respects, including former Minister of Information Lai Mohammed, former First Bank Managing Director Dr. Bisi Onasanya, and others from various sectors, all honoring Modupe’s memory and the legacy she leaves behind.
