They argue that the push for reconciliation, as proposed by Kofa, is a mere political strategy, asserting there is no need for a political alignment with Kwankwaso.
Ganduje, who serves as the National Chairman of the APC, and Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have been at odds over various political matters.
According to the APC spokesperson, Kwankwaso’s attempt to return to the APC is aimed at regaining control and dominance within the party.
He highlighted Kwankwaso’s past actions, including his role in influencing Malam Ibrahim Shekarau’s transition from APC to PDP, and his history of betraying trust when they were part of the PDP.
“Looking at how Kofa outlined the achievements and positions held by Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it becomes evident that he is too insignificant to mediate peace between the two,” Aruwa stated.
He further emphasized that if any mediation were to take place between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it should be led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, rather than Kofa.
