Reports indicate that loyalists of Tinubu have been expressing their displeasure and are determined to ensure Gbajabiamila’s removal from the Presidential Villa.

A reliable source revealed an instance where the name of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ekiti was substituted with that of a former commissioner who served under the previous Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
The source stated, “The REC from Ekiti that he (Gbajabiamila) appointed was a former commissioner of Fayemi, not the person approved by Asiwaju (Tinubu). Asiwaju had approved Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, the former Legal Adviser of INEC.”
