During a session addressing members of the state’s chapter of the Blind Association of Nigeria at the Umuahia Government House, Governor Alex Otti confirmed this pledge yesterday.
Represented by his chief of staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Governor Otti emphasized the establishment of state agencies specifically designed to support both vulnerable groups and People With Disabilities (PWD) as a testament to their dedication.
Commending his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, and the State Ministry of Women Affairs for their unwavering commitment to ensuring equal rights for these groups without bias, he acknowledged their significant contributions.
Highlighting the importance of the commemoration, both the Special Adviser on Vulnerable Groups and Poverty Alleviation, Ifeoma Thomas, and the Governor’s Special Assistant on PWD, Mr. David Anyaele, emphasized the significance of the celebration.
