The directive was communicated through a Twitter message from the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile. Akosile advised residents to utilize the provided overhead bridges instead, emphasizing the electrified nature of the rail line.

Akosile’s tweet read: “Dear Lagosians, please remember that as we launch the commercial operations of the Lagos Blue Line Rail transport on Monday, the rail line is electrified. Avoid crossing the rail lines as it is hazardous. Make use of the government-provided overhead bridges. Thank you.”
