The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing its Director of Publicity and Advocacy, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, as Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Vice President. In a statement released on Tuesday, the Director-General of NEF, Prof. Doknan D. Sheni, expressed that the decision to appoint Dr. Baba-Ahmed demonstrates President Tinubu’s intention to harness the wealth of competence and experience that is present throughout Nigeria. Prof. Sheni remarked, “The Forum hopes that the Presidency will fully utilize the extensive experiences of Dr. Baba-Ahmed in administration and governance for the betterment of the country.”

He further advised Dr. Baba-Ahmed and other recent appointees to offer sound counsel to the president regarding strategies to address the significant challenges currently facing the nation.
