Stretching over 18 minutes, the President’s address touched on key concerns facing the African continent, emphasizing its potential and richness in resources. Tinubu articulated, “Africa stands as the gateway to success. With the immense resources it holds, the continent cannot and should not be marginalized or overlooked.”
Taking a firm stance on the protection of Nigeria’s resources, he proclaimed, “No longer will Nigeria entertain the exploitation of its vast resources under the facade of ‘partnership’. While we acknowledge and prioritize the global challenges like climate change, our solutions and strategies will be crafted on our terms alone.”
A significant part of his address was dedicated to the importance of democracy in Africa, underscoring the need for investment and genuine collaboration to ensure its stability and growth. He stated, “Democracy is a value we hold dear in Africa. Its fortification can only come through true investment and genuine partnerships.”
