Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has revealed the qualities she considers essential in a man who intends to marry her daughter, saying she would not compromise on respect, financial stability and discipline.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the actress made the disclosure during a conversation with her daughter on Pulse TV, where she discussed the qualities she would expect from a potential son-in-law.

Stella said the first requirement is for the man to genuinely respect her daughter and be deeply devoted to her. She stressed that he must value her daughter and demonstrate strong commitment to the relationship.

The actress also emphasised financial stability, explaining that her daughter’s future husband should have the capacity to take care of himself and also provide for her daughter.

Beyond love and financial security, Stella identified discipline as another major quality she expects in a potential partner for her daughter. According to her, having love or fear of God is important, but it must be accompanied by discipline of the mind, body and character.

She explained that without self-control and discipline, other positive qualities may not be enough to sustain a healthy and stable relationship.

Stella further disclosed that physical appearance also matters to her, adding that she would like her daughter’s future husband to be good-looking.
