A 55-year-old woman, identified only as Ifeoma, tragically passed away while giving testimony during a church service at the Zonal Accountant Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos. The incident occurred around 8:48 a.m. on September 8th, during the testimony hour.

Witnesses reported that Ifeoma had come forward to share her testimony, singing, when she suddenly collapsed. Despite immediate efforts to get her to a nearby hospital, she was later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.

Lagos State Police spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident to Vanguard. He noted that police detectives were sent to the hospital but learned that Ifeoma’s family had already taken her body to Anambra State for burial. The cause of her sudden death is currently unknown, and it is unclear if an investigation will be conducted.

In a separate incident, 19-year-old Fatimo Agboke has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of her neighbor’s son, Faroul Azeez. The confrontation took place on September 9, 2024, at around 9:20 p.m. in the Ijegun area of Lagos State.

According to reports, Agboke and 20-year-old Azeez were involved in an argument when Agboke allegedly used a broken bottle to stab Azeez in the neck, resulting in his death. SP Hundeyin confirmed the details, stating that the victim was found with a severe neck wound and was pronounced dead after efforts to get him to the hospital failed. Agboke has been detained, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
