Jigawa Tragedy: Three Children From One Family Die In Building Collapse

A family in Jigawa State is in mourning following a devastating building collapse that claimed the lives of three children. The Nigeria Police Force confirmed the tragic deaths of the three teenage boys in a statement released on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in the Birnin Kudu Local Government area of the state. DSP Lawan Shiisu, the Public Relations Officer, reported the collapse and confirmed that three other individuals survived the incident.

The tragedy was reported by Ahmad Isah, the father of the deceased boys, who resides in the Kofar Bai quarters of Birnin Kudu. According to Shiisu, Isah reported the collapse of a room in his home around 12:05 p.m. on the same day.

Emergency responders, including a team of policemen and local volunteers, quickly arrived at the scene. They conducted a rescue operation and successfully evacuated seven people. The victims were then rushed to Birninkudu General Hospital for medical care.

Upon examination, medical personnel confirmed the deaths of Khalifa Ahmad, 13, and Tijjani and Rabiu Ahmad, both aged 12. The bodies of the deceased have been returned to the family for burial. The four survivors are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and are reported to be responding well to care.
