Heartbreaking News: Shooting Claims Lives Of Three Children In Barbershop

Police in Western Cape, South Africa, have apprehended two suspects believed to be involved in the tragic killing of three children and a man at a barbershop in Khayelitsha.
According to reports, the assailants, traveling in a Toyota Quantum, entered the barbershop on Saturday, June 8, 2024, and inquired about an individual suspected of possessing a firearm. Shortly after, they opened fire indiscriminately, resulting in the deaths of three children: Lunge Chomo, Enzokuhle Dladlu, and Lichume Ngeni.
In addition to facing charges of murder, the two suspects, aged 24 and 28, are also implicated in nine counts of attempted murder.
Brigadier Novela Potelwa, a spokesperson for the Western Cape police, confirmed the arrests in a statement released on Wednesday, June 12.
“Western Cape Serious Violent Crime detectives have been diligently investigating the shooting incident that occurred at a barbershop on Saturday afternoon in Qwarha Street in Site C, Khayelitsha,” Potelwa stated.
